Early Vision Screening
We are dedicated to making a difference in children's lives by increasing awareness about the importance of early vision screening and testing, and we support organizations such as Prevent Blindness. If identified early, visually impaired children can often improve their vision by wearing glasses and/or patches.
Creative Play
Kids love to dress-up and make-believe they can be anything they want to be. It is an essential part of early childhood development and encourages creativity, self-esteem. and expressing feelings. There are several books and studies on this topic. Here are a couple of our favorites:
The Case for Make Believe: Saving Play in a Commercialized World By Susan Linn A Place for Play: A Companion Volume to the Michigan Television Film "Where Do the Children Play?" By Elizabeth N. Goodenough
Online Community
Check out the Little Four Eyes website, a community for family and friends of little ones in glasses. It's a great way to connect with other parents of bespectacled little peeps.
